Whilst studying at The RCM, Yiyao has actively participated in performances and competitions including the Lieder competition, the Lies Askonas competition and the Joan Chissell Schumann competition, during which Louise Winter evaluated that Yiyao, ‘has a pretty singing tone of phrasing in Strauss, her accompaniment playing in future is very anticipated’.
