Festival 2027 Brochure
Following the extraordinary success of last year’s Festival — described as offering “world-class” music-making (The Times) — we return in 2027 with a celebration of song at its most vivid, adventurous and inspiring.

We are thrilled to welcome an exceptional gathering of internationally acclaimed artists to Leeds, including Sir Simon Keenlyside, Fatma Said, Christiane Karg, Carolyn Sampson, Beth Taylor, Christopher Maltman and Christoph Prégardien.
Alongside these established stars, we remain passionate about the next generation, giving Young Artists and emerging performers the opportunity to develop, experiment and perform alongside artists they admire.
Our renowned masterclasses are central to this commitment, with this year’s students able to learn from some of the greatest practitioners of song: Sir Simon Keenlyside, Roger Vignoles, Kate Royal, Mark Padmore and Christoph Prégardien amongst others.
Collaboration lies at the heart of the 2027 Festival. With the Leeds International Piano Competition, we shine a light on the songs of its new Artistic Director, Sir Stephen Hough. With SAA-UK, we celebrate one of Leeds’s greatest musical exports, superstar sitar player Jasdeep Singh Degun, bringing together traditions and voices from across cultures. And, working with the Royal Philharmonic Society, we champion new compositions and the continuing evolution of the song repertoire.
