Cherry (HiuChing) Wong

Cherry (HiuChing) Wong is a collaborative pianist who performs internationally with singers and instrumentalists.

Cherry is a current postgraduate pianist at the Royal Academy of Music in London studying with James Baillieu and Michael Dussek in the Ensemble Piano Department. Previous to this she studied music at Hong Kong Baptist University graduating with a First Class Honours degree, also attaining LTCL in piano performance with Distinction. Cherry has been generously supported by Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme for her studies in the UK.

Performances to date have included Hong Kong Arts Festival, Hong Kong International Chromatic Harmonica Competition, Orientale Concentus VII, and the World Youth & Children’s Choir Festival Hong Kong. Recently, she was awarded the Elena Gerhardt Lieder Prize by the Royal Academy of Music. Her performances have graced prestigious venues like the Royal Opera House and was invited to perform at international stages including the Wigmore Hall, Austrian Cultural Forum, Italian Cultural Institute, Esplanade Concert Hall, and Hong Kong City Hall.

Cherry’s versatility and musicality have also led her to participate in numerous masterclasses with renowned figures such as Susan Manoff, Malcom Martineau, Brindley Sherratt, Angelika Kirchschlager, and Freddie De Tommaso.
