This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the inaugural Leeds Lieder Festival. It invites reflection on whether the visionary pioneers behind the first concerts could have imagined that, two decades later, Leeds would host such a vibrant and joyful week of music-making. Over the years, much has evolved, yet the commitment to bold programming, wide-reaching education, and profound inspiration remains steadfast. It is a true delight that the esteemed President, Elly Ameling, will join the celebrations to honour the continued success of Leeds Lieder
