Leeds Song celebrates the performance and composition of song and of poetry in many languages. Between our annual festivals, we hold a lively programme of concerts, talks and educational activities in co-promotions with the Howard Assembly Room at Opera North, Leeds Conservatoire, the University of Leeds and Leeds International Concert Series.

Leeds Song appoints Michael Chance CBE as Chair Designate
Leeds Song has announced the appointment of Michael Chance CBE as a new Trustee and Chair Designate of the charity. Chance will succeed Kathleen Evans BEM as Chair when the 2026 festival comes to a close. Evans’s tenure as chair is marked by a new commission by David Matthews, premiered in the 2026 Festival.
