Siyuan Xu
Siyuan Xu is a London based pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. Her style is enthusiastic and confident, using delicate layers of sound and warmth of colour.

Siyuan’s interests cover a wide range of genres, from the classical period to contemporary music. Siyuan graduated with a Master of Arts in Ensemble Piano from the Royal Academy of Music July 2024 and is currently continuing her studies on a Professional Diploma under the supervision of Joseph Middleton, James Baillieu, and Anna Tillbrook.
As a solo pianist, Siyuan has won a wide range of prizes and competitions, including the Final National Piano First Prize in China of the KJC Asian International Art Festival, and the Third prize of the Taiwan International Piano Elite Open Competition. Her recent notable solo performances include recitals at St. Stephen Walbrook in London, the Elgar Concert Hall and Wylde Green URC Church in Birmingham, and Chateau Voltaire Fort L’Écluse in France.
Siyuan is also a prize-winning song accompanist. She recently worked with mezzo-soprano Sophie Patterson, showcasing a series of songs by Poulenc and Bernstein, as well as Felix Penna-Hurst, James Garner and Will Harmer in Leatherhead. With Soprano Harriet Cameron, she is the finalist of the Ashburnham English Song Awards where they performed a series of songs themed “under the moon” on May 16th 2024. With Soprano Sophia Yan Jin, Siyuan was awarded the Major Van Someren-Godfery Prize for Accompanist at Academy Vocal recital in December 2023.
Siyuan is a keen chamber musician, performing at venues across London including Southwark Cathedral, St. Marylebone Parish Church, Brady Arts Centre and Regent’s Hall. Siyuan is a member of trio Isla, with violinist Will Clark and cellist Madeline Johnston.
