Amadeus Wiesensee
Amadeus Wiesensee studied Piano at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich, where he completed both his undergraduate and master's degrees.

Amadeus graced the concert stage at an early age, giving his debut with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester at the age of 12. The Süddeutsche Zeitung praised his playing as ‘poetic and ecstatic at world-class level.’
In 2021, he was awarded the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art’s “Kunstförderpreis” in the category of music and was the first artist-in-residence of the Beethoven-Haus Bonn. In addition, in September 2022 he was awarded a special prize at the Hugo Wolf Academy’s International Competition for Lied Art. Amadeus has been invited to many music festivals including the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Bologna Festival, Davos Festival, to the Konzerthaus Berlin and to St. Martin-in-thefields. As a soloist, he has performed with many ensembles including the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie, Heidelberger Philharmoniker and Neue Philharmonie Westfalen under conductors such as Dimitri Jurowski, Michael Sanderling and Clemens Schuldt.
Amadeus has played live many times on radio for stations such as BR, WDR and SWR. Numerous masterclasses with teachers such as Sir András Schiff, Maria Joao Pires, Leon Fleisher, Matti Raekallio and Hélène Grimaud have rounded off his training. He gained special and lasting impetus from Alfred Brendel, Elisabeth Leonskaja and in the area of Lied from Christian Gerhaher and KS Christiane Iven. His chamber music partners have included Klaus Maria Brandauer, Arabella Steinbacher, Eckart Runge, and Daniel Müller-Schott. His second major interest is philosophy, which he also pursued in parallel studies, graduating with a B. A. from the Munich School of Philosophy in 2015. He is a regular speaker and pianist at institutions such as the University of Heidelberg and Bard College Berlin.
In 2024/25 Amadeus will make his debut at the Schubertiade Hohenems, perform in countries such as Spain, Luxemburg, Greece and Poland and will return to festivals including the Beethovenfest Bonn.
